Our New Look

SSEAYP

Our newly designed logo denotes the vision for a more UNITED SSEAYP International Philippines sailing forward in one direction. It is positive, vibrant and energetic showcasing the colors of the Philippine Flag to symbolize our allegiance to our beloved motherland. The image of the ship in the logo signifies our collective pride in the Program we represent.

The yellow SUN embodies hope and optimism and the three stars depict the three major islands of our country. The green ANCHOR stands for our pledge to protect and preserve Mother Nature. It has also been the assigned national color to the Philippines since the program started in 1974.

This new logo design serves as a source of inspiration for members to sustain their youthful idealism and passion to serve the organization in the spirit of camaraderie, goodwill and nation-building.

WHAT IS SSEAYP?

The Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) is an annual cultural exchange program that started in 1974 as a joint statement between ASEAN member countries and Japan.  Participated by young people from these countries, the program’s objective is to promote friendship and mutual understanding among them and the local youth in their respective countries. In the Philippines, it is handled by the National Youth Commission (NYC) under the Office of the President in partnership with the local alumni association or SSEAYP International Philippines (SIP).
